MADURAI: The rate of college students choosing a career in
the field of information technology was on the rise in
India when compared to those in other countries, said Kevin
Faughnan, Director, Academic Initiative, IBM World Wide,
here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the IBM Information Management Centre of
Excellence at the Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE),
he said that the conducive atmosphere prevailing in the
country encouraged a lot of students to prefer IT jobs.
